8:27 a.m. We are just two weeks away from the shortest day of the year. Yesterday, the sun rose at 8:25 and set at 3:37. That is 7 hours and 12 minutes of daylight.
During summer you have to get up real early to catch the sunrise. Not today and it was gorgeous.
This was just a minute or two before sunrise.
I am surprised how pleasant it can be in the 30s when there is little wind.
Getting caught in a sleet/hail shower this afternoon on the way back from class was a small price to pay for this morning’s light show.
