Things have gotten unsteady here weatherwise. It has been cold and windy the last couple days. It may rain and/or snow tonight. It seems that autumn and spring are times for the winds to pick up. On the plus side of life, the days are getting longer by the day and the Vernal equinox is just around the corner. The sun is up before 7 now and goes down around 6.
Yesterday morning’s sunrise over what is left of the ice on the ocean.
This shot, dark though it may be, reminded me of another great thing about Sweden: no power poles. Everything is underground with very few exceptions. You don’t realize how ugly telephone poles are until you live in a place where there aren’t any. I happened to notice this yesterday and it hit me.
And while we are on the subject, another great thing is the effort made to integrate immigrants into the culture. Today we went up to the regional art museum to look at the collection. They don’t allow photos inside but some students wanted a picture for Facebook or something once we left the place. This is what my fellow Swedish students look like. Not a blond hair anywhere in sight.
